Santa Project Job Descriptions
Greeter
• Make sure people are lined up in an orderly fashion.
• If there are any large, nervous dogs in line close to children, speak to the owner, and perhaps ask them to sit on the bench away from children and call them when it is their turn.
• Instruct parents with coats and strollers to go through to the other side Santa and put their stuff down, that way they are out of the way of the next people, their stuff is more secure,
and they are near the cash register.
• Talk to the next kid and parents and line to entertain them while they wait. Don't let the kids in too fast if people are backing up at the cash register and printer. Space them out.
• Show them board with photo options and prices. They don't have to decide yet.
• Determine if the child will be having their photo taken or is just talking to Santa. If a parent wants to take their own photos, we will accept a $5 donation. They should go to the cash
register when they are finished to get their receipt. If you have time, you can take money and go get receipt for them.
• Write the last name of the family being photographed down on a sticky note and give to photographer.
• Check on Santa occasionally to see if he needs a break, needs a drink or is ready for lunch. If a break is coming up, let those waiting in line know how long it will be until Santa
returns.
Photographer
• Let child have a minute to talk to Santa and get comfortable before taking photo.
• Ask parents if they want child's coat off.
• Ask parents to stand behind you if child looks at them instead of camera.
• HOLD CAMERA VERTICALLY (UP AND DOWN) unless photographing a large group.
• Show parent preview of photo on camera. Once they pick a photo, be very clear with them that you are going to erase the photos they don't want right now, so they don't get to the cash
register and decide they want another print of a different pose. Carefully erase photos they do not want.
• If they are buying a photo, they may also take their own photos.
• Remind Santa to give child coloring book.
• Instruct parents to go to cash register stand to order and pay for their photos. SAY THANK YOU!
• Take sticky note with name and card to cash register.
• If child does not cooperate or parents don't like any of the photos, give them schedule and invite them back.
Cash Register
• Help parent determine what size and how many of the photo we will print.
• Ring up total and collect cash, check or credit card.
• Ring up donation if given.
• Gift certificates are only valid with gold Rotary sticker. They are worth $10.
• Let them know we will print photo while they wait.
• Erase cards while waiting. Bring blank cards to photographer.
• Answer questions about Rotary and fund raising projects. Membership brochures and project information cards are available. SAY THANK YOU! Printer
• Take card and sticky note, and print as ordered.
• Place completed print in envelope and put sticky note on cover.
SAY THANK YOU!
